Pigs and Latin???

How in the world do they ever go together? Well, when i was just a kid, my dad taught me the "ever-so(or not so)-elegant" language of pig latin. It has nothing to do with pigs or latin. But, it was always fun to speak it with my dad and have others around wonder what we were saying.
