good use for old sock tops

This roll of "stuff" is stabilizer for machine embroidery.  I write my name on the inside cardboard roll.  Then, I put the outside wrap (description/instructions of the product) on the inside of the roll.  To keep the stabilizer from unrolling and getting ratty looking, I put a sock top around it.  Socks can get really worn on the bottom and heels.  But the ankle/leg part is still good - and still useful.
