Last week Stacie (DD#4), came to over
to put her quilt on the longarm and quilt it.
This is her second longarm experience.
She did great! Its a twin size and it took
her about 2.5 hours to complete the quilting.
I don't know if you can see the thread very
good. It was a Superior Thread, King Tut
varigated black...to light grey. It was a perfect
match...to the colors and personality of the
quilt top.
Today, Stacie came over and sewed the binding
on the quilt, front side by machine. She took
it home to sew the binding to the back by hand.
You're probably wondering about the blog
title? Sharing my toys with Stacie is
a great...no, HUGE plus to having the toys.
I really enjoy the time I get to spend with her
and especially to share my love of quilting!
And, if she or any of my other kids are to read this,
their first and loud comment would be...
OH!! tooo CHEEZ-ZEEE!
A mom has a right to be cheez-zee sometimes..
right?

Yes, you do mom!
My daughter does not quilt with me at all. Sigh.
Can I come play on the long arm? Oh wait--I need to complete a quilt first.
Love that you had some DD time!
My daughter doesn't quilt either :-( Enjoy your sweet DD's!!
Hey - enjoy it! So wonderful that you are able to share with her. I love that thread myself.
That is great. Toys are so much fun. I have a new Nook and am really enjoying it. Not as much fun as a long-arm but you take what you can get.
I don't have the long arm, but, my youngest made a quilt when he was 12. Now that he is 18, he's picked out the fabric for a second quilt (if he can just find the time to start on it). Cool! Keep her quilting, mom!
Yes, you have the right, mom! My daughter lives 1500 miles from us but when we get together we sew and knit and crochet...and now her daughter, my 12-year-old granddaughter, does too! SO Blessed!
