TA-DAH!! This is my October finish for OPAM.
Being part of One Project A Month has been a HUGE
help for me to get some of my unfinished projects competed.
And, to be more aggressive in actually getting quilts USEBLE.
I mean...they aren't really useable in kits or just as pieces for
a top...or as a lonely top waiting for a back. Really? Well,
I guess I've been lying to myself for a LONG time!
It's a machine embroidered flower from...
one of Sara Vedhler's designs.
I chose this thread...Superior's King Tut (sorry for the blur)
It blended fairly well on most of the quilt except the dark areas.
Oh...and hey, look! I actually did a mitered corner!
Yeah, well, I know...that's what most of you do on a regular basis.
But, me...in the 37 years I've been binding quilts, I usually do
rounded "corners". (is that an "oxymoron"?)
The thread color blended very well on the back.
It's a good thing too! I'm NOT that great of a machine quilter!
I'm trying this batting for the first time. I hope it looks good
when I wash it. There was no noticble difference while I was
quilting it on the longarm.

HELP TO FIND
I blogged a few times back about some pin cushions I made.
And, a friendly blogger visited and asked me where I bought
this fabric. Well, I went to check and see if there was
info on the selvedge and...nope. =( It's a fat quarter and
no selvedge left with information.
So...maybe one of YOU sweet visitors might
have a clue where we could find this fabric?
Please, either leave a comment, or email me if you have seen it...
somewhere, a local quilt store or?
Any help would be appreciated =)

Your OPAM finish is beautiful, Annie! Great work!!
A yummy quilt - love the thread choice and I think it gives texture to the dark - just lovely!
Beautiful quilt! Love those deep, rich blues. The fabric you are looking for is adorable but I don't know where you can find it - sorry.
What a beautiful quilt. I love Hobbs Washable Wool. Especially if you are hanging a quilt at a quilt show...it doesn't show the fold lines! Plus..a quilt feels more like an old quilt after it is washed. Loved your colors!
Very beautiful quilt you made, such wonderful bright colors. I love the cute flowers you appliqued.
What a beautiful quilt, I love the flowers. That owl fabric is really cute but I've never seen it.
Wow...your quilt is just stunning...thank you so much for being apart of OPAM...
That quilt is so pretty! I love the blue/black combo. I have some of that thread on my wishlist to start buying some and building up a supply. I am going through a complete change on thread. Just gotta build up!
I will go visit the new blog. Always willing to help out newbies! Love your fiber button. So cute! I can't tonight but I will work on adding buttons to the book blog this weekend.
Hey Annie! Well done on finishing your quilt for October's OPAM finish!! It looks FABULOUS and will be a lovely splash of colour in the cold winter months when things get a bit grey. Glad you're enjoying being part of our OPAM fun ... isn't it a lovely way to have a worldwide 'cheer-squad'! :0) Enjoy your finishing - Bear Hugs! KRIS
I hate to be redundant, but WOW! Something about those blues and purples makes that flower quilt smashing! Congrats on finishing.
best, nadia
