In just 2 days (or less) there will be a shopping frenzy that
seems to take over our Planet...well, at least the
USA part of the planet. It's that time of year where people
sleep overnight in front of a store to save $$$
and to freeze their #$%# OFF!
It's a time, where in some
places, a herd of people will literally run over others
It's a time, where in some
places, a herd of people will literally run over others
to get to that "great" deal in the back of the store.
Some, do "sleep" in their own beds until the wee hours of the
morning... then, get up, bundle up... to go
morning... then, get up, bundle up... to go
stand in long (cold) lines for hours until the store opens.
This pheeee-nomin-UN is called
BLACK Friday.
So...here's my questions to YOU.
Will you be an "in-eee" or an "out-ee"?
For me... I plan to be an "in-eee".
I will be lounging in my PJs, hankering down
with either the TV, radio or an audiobook.
I will be sewing or knitting or spinning fiber, working
on Christmas gift projects.
on Christmas gift projects.
I'll put on a crockpot "dinner-soup". You know
one of those hearty, "fill AND warm your tummy"
kinds of soups.

kinds of soups.
I will be thinking of those sweet souls who are
out "fighting" the crowds to get those special
gifts for great prices. For, YOU sweet souls who
have decided to be "out-eees"...my admiration is
great. I admire you for your energy, courage
and determination to succeed.
great. I admire you for your energy, courage
and determination to succeed.
But, alas, I will be feeling this great
admiration as my feet are feeling warm and
toasty in their slippers.
Okay, I must admit, there was a day...
Okay, I must admit, there was a day...
in the long, long ago...that, I too, was an "out-eee".
These days...however, old age, old body and
a just a pinch of wisdom have gotten the better of me.
So...again, my dear bloggie friends, I pose
the question:
Are YOU
an "in-eee" or an "outeee"?
I would luv to hear what your plans are
for Black Friday.

In-eee. no shopping for me in Canada!
In-eee! No thank you! Craziness. I don't need rudeness thank you very much. I did this one time, when necessity required it.. and never again. I just got up early and stood in a line. Camping out.. (faint). I'm almost done shopping at this point.
Definitely an in-eee! I think it's insane to be an out-eee just to save a little money. I would just end up so angry because of the shoving an pettiness that it would SO not be worth it!
My daughter and I enjoy going shopping on Black Friday but we are not going out at dark thirty. No camping out for us. We get what we get and enjoy the day :-)
I can't handle crowds on a normal day - I have NEVER gone shopping on Black Friday - but I am vending Friday and Saturday at a Holiday Show and do hope there is a 'pleasant' crowd.
IN-ee for me! Even better, though, as I'll be "in" at my Mom's Friday morning. Since she's thirty miles from civilization, we'd be crazy indeed to abandon hearth, warmth, dogs, husbands, and children to scamper out to be trampled! We will likely spend the day decorating her home for Christmas.
I hope you have a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
:)

I'm skipping Black Friday. I'll gladly pay a few bucks more to miss the crowds. I used to be a Black Friday shopper, but that was before the 12:00 a.m. openings.
Wild horses couldn't drag me out shopping on a day like Black Friday.
We consider Black Friday shopping to be a spectator sport. We'll go to a few stores, but not before daylight, and won't put our lives in danger. There are no sales good enough to risk one's life! Home early to spend quality time with my sewing machine, and eat some leftovers.
In-eee here too. I used to enjoy the rush of shopping early, but now I'm older~ and I hope a little more sensible? LOL Well, maybe not sensible, but I've grown to not like crowds. ;-) Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
Guess I'm an "in-eee" 'cause I'm in Canada...but even if we had a Black Friday, I would prefer to stay in my jammies and slippers, sip on a flavoured coffee, read my favorite quilt blogs, and plan my next project in my sewing corner! Gotta love the life of a quilter!
In-eee. The last time I tried that was 1979 with my MIL, whom I loved very much. At the end of the day, I did not like her and thought I should take up drinking as an avocation!
I will be sewing and sipping coffee!
Once was enough for me. I'm a non-shopper (except fabric...LOL!)
I will be staying in. I am giving quilts for Christmas and I still have a long ways to go before they are all complete.
I'm an in-eeee on principal!
My sister has to work all day at WalMart tomorrow. We'll be having a Thanksgiving for her on Saturday.
I sent my husband out one year at 5am on Black Friday for a bike early in our marriage. He was not happy. I never asked him again. I asked him in the first place because I didn't want to get out of bed myself. LOL
Happy Thanksgiving!!!
I am planning to be an in-eee this year - my daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter are coming over on Friday for a "Let's Decorate Nana's House For Christmas" party! Lots of Christmas decorations, wonderful chili and cornbread, and lots of fun!
I would love to be an in-eee. However since I work in retail,I will be in the middle of the craziness yet again.
I have never shopped on Black Friday before (I have registered at a store, but not shopped). This year my friend and I are thinking of heading to a few stores on the day but later like 7am or so. I am about 7 months pregnant so there is no way I would have camped over night just to go to a store!
I would never attempt to shop it. But in all my years of working retail, I will tell you that I LOVED working it. I like the crowds and business of the holiday season--when I am working.
I avoid the shops. Yuk! There isn't anything that I need that bad.
I'M AN "OUTEEE"! I THINK THAT IS ALL A BUNCH OF NONSENSE! WHO WOULD NEED SOMETHING THAT BADLY???
In-eee for sure! I just can't understand the shopping craze. I don't particularly enjoy shopping most days, and shopping with lots of crazy people makes my palms sweat!
