A very wonderful package came in the mail a bit ago. I was
so excited when I opened it!!! I'm a crazy "Frog-luver" and I do
have a leeeeetle frog collecting going on here at my house.
But, these are some of THEEEE best-EST frogs EVER!
Included in the package was this really pretty quilt-eee card with a nice
note inside from a sweet friend, and the great FROG pattern. But,
that's not all....that's NOT even the half of it!
OH! OH! and....even bigger OH! MY GOSH!!
These are just a few of the HAND embroidered blocks.
There is a hand embroidered block for each of the frog blocks
in the pattern above. The Frogs are SOO cute I just want to
...squeeeeze them!
The embroidered stitches are so wonderfully perfect that
it almost looks like machine embroidery...but, it's NOT!
O, I sooo admire your stitches... Thank YOU sooo much, my friend,
for all of your hours of beautiful hand work. This gift will be cherished
and loved more many years to come. I am hoping to get the embroidered
blocks snuggled into some batik fabrics and pieced into blocks - SOON.
These VERY SPECIAL FROGS will be counted as one of my
favorite 60th birthday gifts!

Happy New Year and good morning Annie....my sister is making this quilt too and has all her frog blogs embroidered and is working on the pieced blocks for her quilt. I've traced all my blocks and just realized I traced 2 of the largest blocks on the wrong side of the fabric....dah!!! Not a good start to my 2013 UFO project list. I do luv these frog blocks.
